November 1st 2009
Dear Readers,
We are entering into the month
of Thanksgiving. With the present economic climate, the massive number
of job losses, and the pandemic of H1N1 flu there doesn’t seem to be
much reason to give thanks.
But take in a deep breath and
let it out…
Now give thanks to our Lord
Jesus for every additional day that He gives to each of us. Let us
strive every day to bring glory to His name. Life goes on and we all
must move forward.
Our Editor-In-Chief Michelle
Sutton has resigned from the magazine, effective as of October 2nd. We
wish her well in all that she pursues. For the foreseeable future I
will add the EIC work to my present job as owner and Publisher.
We continue to have an amazing
staff, with Erin Brown of WriteEditor.net
as the line
editor of all of our columns, Pamela Morrisson of
Daysong
Graphics as our Graphics Artist, and Andie Johnson
as our Quality Control person.
And our family of columnists are
the best and brightest in the business of Christian fiction. The Lord
has truly blessed us. But sometimes the journey gets hard, and there
comes a time to set priorities. To that end, Trish Perry of Real Life
Is Stranger, has stepped down from her column to pursue her writing
career. But the vacuum has quickly been filled by Joyce Magnin, debut
author of The Prayers
of Agnes Sparrow. You must read her column about
Thanksgiving in her house as a child!
You will also notice that we
have a new magazine header compliments of my friend, the budding
designer and leader of Marcher
Lord Press, Jeff Gerke. I have also
brought the ECPA lists to the Home tab so that the lists are readily
accessible. And the one other change at this time: the Book Trailers
have migrated to the Berzerk
Tab!
God bless you all this
Thanksgiving season!
