Dear Reader,
This month Christians around the world celebrate Easter or, as I prefer to call it, Resurrection Sunday. As we reflect on all that Christ has done for us, let’s thank him for the many blessings we have. Despite how poor we feel at times, we are still much richer than the rest of the world’s population. Thanks to having recently read Scared, by Tom Davis, that reality hit home once again.
If you can afford it, please consider sponsoring a child in a third-world country. You can do this at several reputable sites. My family sponsors two children from Uganda through Compassion International. One of them was only five when we started sponsoring her, and she is already out of elementary school! It has been such a blessing to watch her grow.
For the month of April, CFOM introduces more new changes on the horizon. But before I tell you about the latest improvements I have to ask . . . Are you enjoying the recent additions to CFOM? I think the new talent is beyond great, and I hope you do, too. Sarah Salter, Adele Annesi, and Loree Lough are all incredibly talented women, and I’m proud to have them on board.
Our newest column by screenplay writer Caroline Friday is called Made for Movies and will feature a different book every month. She will be reading a variety of books and determining whether or not they would make a great movie. I’ve sent her a few suggestions based on books I’ve read. If you have read a book that you believe would make a great movie, please send me a letter and I’ll let Caroline know. Obviously she can’t read everything but will present the best options she can. I’m really excited about this column!
